Network engineer

Banking Sector

* assist in the design of the network infrastructures for new network IPAM, DNS, DHCP & NTP projects;
* translate the business requirements into technical IPAM, DNS, DHCP & NTP solutions;
* guarantee that the offered solution is in line with the company’s security policies;
* align the design to IT Architecture governance mode;
* advise and document these aspects for new projects;
* assist IPAM, DNS, DHCP & NTP-related Proof of Concept in testing new applications, functionalities, versions and/or products;
* test & implement the new infrastructures according the client – ITIL methods (ISO 20000);
* coordination and implementation of these technical solutions in the different phases of a project: Lab, test, dev, QA and production;
* assist the 3rd level support on Network IPAM, DNS, DHCP & NTP incidents;
* take & analyze network traces;
* open & follow-up the problem tickets at the integrators. Including testing of the proposed solutions before implementation;
* maintenance (hard- and software upgrade) of the network IPAM, DNS, DHCP & NTP devices;
* implement monitoring & backup of the systems according the client's method.

* education level is bachelor or master. Preferably in IT (Networking) or electronics;
* knowledge on network CISCO routing-switching (CCNA & CCNE are added value);
* experience with one or more professional IPAM, DNS, DHCP & NTP products;
* following knowledge’s give an added value:
o knowledge on network security technologies (like firewall, proxy).
o loadbalancing product experience(s)
o ITIL
* analyze network traces;
* know the protocols: HTTP – HTTPS – FTP – SSH;
* familiar with Office Automation tools;
* team player, able to work independently. Pragmatic, flexible and solution driven;
* good communication skills;
* good English knowledge (spoken, read, written) + French/Dutch.

Full time contract with hay grade depending on both technical experience and soft skills.
